Business Developer – Pay with Transfer at PalmPay Limited

PalmPay is an Africa-focused fintech company launched in 2019. It operates as a mobile payments platform, providing a range of financial services designed to support digital transactions and financial inclusion across its markets.

• The Business Developer will be part of PalmPay’s Pay with Transfer (PWT) team, contributing to business expansion by identifying new opportunities and onboarding quality merchants.
• The role involves educating agents and merchants, while driving adoption of PalmPay’s payment solutions.
• The successful candidate will actively support product growth by connecting with businesses, understanding their needs, and promoting relevant financial services.

• Market Prospecting: Identify and target merchants across different market segments for Pay with Transfer, merchant loans, collaborations, and online payment solutions using channels such as directories, industry events, and referrals.
• Merchant Engagement Strategy: Initiate contact with potential clients, build relationships, and arrange meetings or product demonstrations to present PalmPay’s services.
• Needs Assessment: Evaluate client business operations, payment processes, and challenges to determine specific needs and provide suitable solutions.
• Customized Presentations: Present PalmPay’s offerings effectively, tailoring features, benefits, and potential returns to meet the needs of key and high-quality merchants.
• Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, ensuring trust, reliability, and consistent engagement.
• Negotiation and Closure: Handle negotiations on pricing, terms, and agreements to successfully close deals in line with company policies.
• Collaborative Implementation: Work with internal teams such as product and customer support to resolve client concerns and ensure smooth service implementation.

Benefits

• Base Salary: N70,000 monthly
• Transportation: N20,000 plus sales commission based on performance
