Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all electrical systems in the power plant, ensuring routine maintenance and full system availability.
- Approve procurement requirements and design work for the electrical maintenance unit.
- Review vendor method statements for compliance with standards and manage vendors in line with contract terms.
- Ensure availability of spares, tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Handle budget preparation, resource planning, and allocation.
- Maintain accurate records of faults, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Conduct routine inventory checks of electrical spares to ensure readiness.
- Manage team performance, including reviews, training, and development.
- Prepare maintenance reports and technical documentation as required.
- Approve procurement needs and maintenance design work within the electrical maintenance unit.
- Ensure full compliance with QHSE requirements for electrical units.
- Perform any other assigned duties.
Requirements & Qualifications
- B.Sc. / M.Sc in Electrical Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–12 years of experience in the engineering field and power industry.
- Relevant professional certifications such as COREN/NSE, CMRP, PMP, etc.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and equipment history in power plants.
- Knowledge of standard operating procedures for maintenance of electrical devices.
- Familiarity with modern maintenance management practices and spares inventory management.
- Strong operational decision-making and focus on operational excellence.
- Understanding of safety requirements and statutory guidelines related to electrical engineering.
- COREN certification is an added advantage.
Experience:
- Oil and Gas / Power House: 5 years (Required).
