Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Credit Assessment & Approval:

  • Evaluate credit applications for vehicle purchases, fleet financing, and spare parts financing.
  • Conduct detailed financial assessments, including income verification, cash flow analysis, and repayment capacity evaluation.
  • Perform customer credit checks and develop risk profiles.
  • Recommend appropriate credit limits and financing structures based on risk analysis.
  • Verify customer documentation such as KYC records, bank statements, and guarantor information.

Credit Facility Management:

  • Manage and monitor credit facilities for automobile dealers, corporate clients, and retail customers.
  • Ensure proper documentation and execution of loan agreements.
  • Track repayment schedules and ensure timely collections.
  • Review credit exposure and recommend renewals or restructuring when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports for all credit facilities.

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with company credit policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Identify potential credit risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • Monitor delinquent accounts and initiate recovery processes.
  • Collaborate with legal and recovery teams on default cases.
  • Maintain adherence to internal audit and financial control standards.

Collaboration with Sales & Operations:

  • Support sales teams with structured financing solutions to drive vehicle sales.
  • Liaise with dealers, financial institutions, and customers on credit arrangements.
  • Provide insights on credit performance to support management decision-making.
  • Assist in developing customer financing programs and credit policies.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare periodic credit risk and portfolio performance reports.
  • Maintain organized and complete credit documentation.
  • Track overdue accounts and produce aging analysis reports.
  • Provide updates to management on the overall health of the credit portfolio.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Credit Officer, preferably in automobile financing, loan facilities, leasing, or asset financing.
  • Strong knowledge of credit analysis, loan structuring, and risk assessment.
  • Experience in managing credit facilities and monitoring repayments.
  • Good understanding of financial statements and credit evaluation techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and credit management systems.
