Key Responsibilities
- Grant & Program Management
- Lead the planning, execution, and closure of funded projects such as malaria programs, health data initiatives, supply-chain intelligence, and digital surveys.
- Convert grant agreements, log-frames, and donor work plans into structured execution roadmaps, milestones, and deliverables.
- Manage multi-state implementations, including pilot phases, scale-ups, and nationwide deployments.
- Budget, Compliance & Reporting
- Take ownership of project budgets, burn rates, and financial forecasts while maintaining strict financial discipline and donor compliance.
- Monitor project deliverables against KPIs, indicators, and timelines set by grants.
- Develop high-quality donor reports, including narrative, financial, and monitoring & evaluation inputs, in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements, regulatory standards, and internal governance policies.
- Stakeholder & Partner Management
- Act as the main point of contact for donor agencies, implementing partners, government bodies (e.g., NAFDAC, NMEP), NGOs, and vendors.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams such as call centre operations, field officers, data analysts, product teams, and engineering units.
- Oversee third-party vendors, consultants, and field partners to ensure effective collaboration.
- Operational Execution
- Supervise field operations, training initiatives, call-center-based surveys (CATI), and digital data collection processes.
- Identify potential operational risks early and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Ensure high data quality, operational readiness, and seamless coordination between teams.
- Monitoring, Learning & Improvement
- Collaborate with analytics and M&E teams to monitor performance, generate insights, and capture lessons learned.
- Support continuous improvement of project delivery frameworks, tools, and standard operating procedures.
- Contribute to proposal development, concept notes, and strategies for scaling programs where necessary.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Essential
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Project Management, Public Health, Social Sciences, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- 7–10+ years of experience managing complex projects, including 3–5 years in donor-funded, grant-supported, or social enterprise programs.
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-state or national-level projects within Nigeria.
- Strong knowledge of grant compliance, budgeting, reporting, and donor expectations.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and external stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Nigeria.
- Highly Desirable
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience working with international donors such as Gates Foundation, Global Fund, USAID, DFID, or UN agencies.
- Background in public health programs, malaria initiatives, surveys, monitoring & evaluation, or digital data collection.
- Familiarity with CATI, field surveys, dashboards, or large-scale data operations.
- Experience engaging with government agencies or regulatory bodies in Nigeria.
