Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and establish new customer relationships to expand the bank’s retail base.
  • Review and guide the team’s call plans to ensure effectiveness and alignment with targets.
  • Identify market opportunities and potential hubs for business growth.
  • Promote and sell the bank’s products and services to retail customers.
  • Oversee the identification of customer needs and proactively provide suitable products and services.
  • Prepare management reports and conduct market research related to retail banking operations.
  • Train direct reports on the bank’s products and service offerings.
  • Set clear goals and targets, and ensure their achievement across teams.
  • Identify market clusters and deliver presentations to drive business engagement.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of Team Leads.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Group Head.

Requirements & Qualifications

Requirements

  • Strong customer relationship development and management skills.
  • Advanced selling and negotiation skills.
  • Solid knowledge of the Nigerian retail market.
  • Understanding of basic banking operations, including domestic and international operations.
  • Good knowledge of banking products and services.
  • Ability to conduct environmental and industry analysis.

Supervisory Skills:

  • Leadership and supervisory capabilities.
  • Team building and conflict management skills.
  • Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
  • General managerial and administrative competence.

Generic Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Professional Requirements:

  • First degree in any Business-related discipline.
  • A Master’s degree and/or other professional qualifications.

Minimum Experience:

  • 8 – 10 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 3 – 5 years in a management role and marketing units.
