Job Summary

Mission

  • Promote the MTN brand and achieve monthly sales targets and other expectations set by the division.
  • Lead and manage a team of Sales Representatives, Mobilize Consultants, Field Support Agents, and SRAA personnel.

Description

  • Drive sales growth, product activations, and market penetration by improving brand visibility within the assigned territory.
  • Support channel efficiency through effective stock management and operational oversight to meet customer demands.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop team members to improve performance, product knowledge, and alignment with departmental objectives.
  • Coordinate technical and administrative activities while maintaining strong relationships with dealers and channel partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure increased sales, activations, and product penetration by maintaining strong brand visibility within the territory.
  • Review channel operations and stock levels to ensure effective stock management and meet customer demand.
  • Coach and train direct reports to improve understanding of departmental objectives, targets, and product knowledge while identifying development opportunities.
  • Conduct performance reviews and complete appraisals in line with employee performance appraisal procedures and timelines.
  • Oversee technical activities and supervise direct reports while ensuring all transaction and administrative documentation is properly recorded and accessible for business use.
  • Build and maintain relationships with dealers and participate in organizing channel distributor forums and events to strengthen business relationships.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education:

  • A First Degree (B.Sc. or HND) in any Social Science course or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-degree experience.
  • Fluent in English.

Experience:

  • 3-7 years experience in an area of specialization with experience supervising others.
  • Experience working in a medium-sized organization.
  • Experience using data mining tools.
  • Telecoms experience would be an added advantage.
