• The Engineer - Transmission Infrastructure Support will be responsible for supporting the performance, reliability, and operational efficiency of MTN Nigeria’s transmission network infrastructure.
• The role focuses on maintaining regional transmission systems, ensuring infrastructure compliance, supporting preventive maintenance activities, and resolving network-related issues effectively.
• The successful candidate will also support vendor management activities, contribute to network expansion projects, and collaborate with engineering teams to maintain seamless network operations.

• Carry out detailed checks on newly installed transmission infrastructure to ensure compliance with approved standards and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve transmission network failures quickly to reduce downtime and service interruptions.
• Identify network risks and implement measures to maintain infrastructure stability and security.
• Supervise IRU vendors to ensure compliance with company guidelines and quality service delivery.
• Work closely with other engineering teams to support integration between transmission infrastructure and other network components.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to transmission infrastructure assets and performance.
• Keep up to date with developments, trends, and technologies within the transmission infrastructure space.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and team members where required.
• Participate in network expansion initiatives, contributing technical expertise in infrastructure planning and deployment.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
• Strong understanding of transmission infrastructure technologies, including fiber optics, microwave, and satellite systems.
• Practical experience in transmission network troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Good knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in relevant software applications and network monitoring tools.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies and industry developments.
• Valid driving license with the ability to travel within the assigned region when required.
