
University of Strathclyde offers the Stephen Young Global Leaders, SYGL Scholarship to students from countries around the world who wish to study in the United Kingdom. The scholarship is offered for Master’s degree studies at the Scottish institute of learning.
In 2021, alumnus of the University of Strathclyde, Charles Huang, PhD made a £50 million donation towards sponsorship of the program through his philanthropic Charles Huang Foundation (CHF).
The University of Strathclyde is a government-owned higher institution established in 1796. It was initially known as the Andersonian Institute. Strathclyde’s campus which is located in Glasgow is Scotland’s second-oldest university.
Tuition Fees
The tuition fees that domestic students pay at the University of Strathclyde is lower than what international students pay. On average, the cost of study for foreigners is £16,900 for an academic year.
Eligibility Criteria

The requirements you must fulfill for this scholarship are as follows:
- The scholarship is open to international students
- Be a self-funded student
- Must have received an offer of admission
- Must demonstrate academic excellence
- Should not be a recipient of other scholarships
Scholarship Benefits
The Stephen Young Global Leaders Scholarship is fully funded for international recipients who wish to study at the Scottish institution. The financial support is applicable to a one-year MBA program at the University of Strathclyde Business School.
