University of Paris-Saclay IDEX Scholarship is designed to cater to highly-qualified international students who intend to pursue graduate programs in France. The scholarship is available for master’s studies. It’s being offered by faculties and component institutions, to make it easier for students to join the French University, especially for those wishing to develop an academic project through research up to the doctoral level.
The University scholarship, funded by IDEX will be awarded to candidates based on academic achievements in the 2025-2026 academic cycle. These scholarships are awarded for 1 or 2 years, depending on the student’s admission level (M1 or M2), and subject to completion of the required number of credits to go through to the following year of study.
Financial aids are disbursed by one of the following institutions: AgroParisTech, CentraleSupélec, Ecole Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay (ENS Paris-Saclay), INSTN-CEA, Institut d’Optique Graduate School (IOGS), Université Évry Paris-Saclay, Université Paris-Saclay (UPSaclay), Université de Versailles-Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (UVSQ).
University of Paris-Saclay is a public research university and technological research institute established in 2019. The university which has its campus in Gif-sur-Yvette, France was born from the shared ambition of French universities, grandes écoles and national research organisations.
Tuition Fees
Tuition fees at the University of Paris-Saclay are generally cheaper than their counterparts in the US, UK and other European countries. The cost of studying at the institution for international students typically ranges from $400 to $1,000 per academic year.
Eligibility Criteria

- The Scholarship is open to international students.
- Applicant must be undertaking their first studies in France.
- Candidate must demonstrate strong academic achievements
- Applicant must not be above 30 years of age by the deadline.
- Candidate must be admitted to a Master’s program at Université Paris-Saclay.
- Candidates who have a 3-year study gap can not apply.
Selection Process
Applicants for the University of Paris-Saclay IDEX Scholarship must first secure an offer of admission into a Master’s Program. However, gaining admission to a Master’s program does not guarantee a scholarship. Only students invited by email from Paris-Saclay University to apply for the IDEX scholarship can commence the application.
Scholarship Benefits
When selected for the scholarship, candidates will be awarded financial aid in the form of annual stipend of €10,000. This amount will be disbursed over ten months within the academic year. The scholarship will also give the students €1000 for to cover travel and visa expenses.
Application Procedure
- First, apply for admission to a Master’s program at Paris-Saclay University.
- There is no separate scholarship application.
- After gaining admission, if you’re eligible you will be selected by the jury.
- You will then be invited by Paris-Saclay University via email to apply for the IDEX scholarship.
- Students invited to apply will be guided through the specific scholarship application process.
