The University of Kent GREAT Scholarship empowers students from countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe to pursue postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom. In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, Kent designed this program for master’s-seeking applicants from seven foreign nations.

Financial aid awarded under the Kent GREAT Scholarship is valued at £10,000 towards one year of tuition fees for talented individuals undertaking one-year taught master’s degree at the University of Kent’s UK campuses while promoting cultural and academic exchange. Beneficiaries have the opportunity to represent the GREAT brand and UK Higher Education experience. Applications for the University of Kent scholarship is now open and interested candidates are welcome to apply.

Tuition Fees

As a student pursuing an academic program at the University of Kent, bear in mind that the tuition fees are set based on the respect courses and level of study. However, the cost of studying still falls within a specific amount, which is between £9,995 to £17,995.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must;

  • Be a citizen and resident of any of the eligible countries, and classified as an overseas fee payer.
  • Hold a conditional offer for a full-time, 12-month taught postgraduate course at the University of Kent’s UK campuses and accept the offer before the deadline.
  • Demonstrate an active interest in the chosen field of study through work experience or proven engagement.
  • Be ready to represent the GREAT brand and act as an advocate for UK education.
  • Be ready to attend a networking event with other GREAT scholars.
  • Show commitment to embodying the UK Higher Education experience by participating in both academic and extracurricular activities.

Application Procedure

  • Go to the program’s webpage.
  • Apply for admission to an eligible masters program
  • You must first receive a conditional offer from the University of Kent before proceeding to apply for the scholarship
  • Start the scholarship application through your applicant portal.
  • You will be required to submit an essay of no more than 500 words discussing a topic you’ve studied and its relevance to your chosen degree program.
  • In the essay, applicant is expected to highlight their motivation and interest in the chosen field.
