University of Milan
The University of Milan, through the Excellence Scholarships, offers scholarships to the best international students who have been admitted to undertake Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs at the institution.
The higher education institution provides 55 scholarships yearly, worth € 8,000 each (with the right to exemption from the all-inclusive tuition fee) and 100 total exemptions from the all-inclusive tuition fee.
University of Bologna
The University of Bologna has scholarship programs for international students who wish to register for first-cycle (Bachelor’s), second-cycle (Master’s), or single-cycle degree programs. The study grant is awarded to recipients for one academic year and provides full tuition waivers. The total amount of the scholarship is €11,000.
Eligible candidates should be younger than 30 years old. Applicants must also take the SAT or TOLC test if applying for first- or single-cycle degree programs or the GRE test if registering for a second-cycle (Master’s) degree program.
Bocconi University
This tertiary institution provides financial aid through the Merit and International Awards. International students admitted to Bocconi University’s Bachelor’s, Master of Science, or Law programs can benefit from this.
The Merit and International scholarships offer a 50% reduction of the tuition fee. The scholarships are valued at €13,000 for a Bachelor’s and €12,000 for a Master’s. Recipients are chosen based on their academic excellence.
Politecnico de Milano
The Politecnico de Milano (Polytechnic University of Milan) merit-based scholarship is designed for highly talented international students admitted to a Master of Science program at Politecnico de Milano.
This scholarship scheme is divided into three levels:
- Platinum scholarships, which award €10,000 worth of grants per year
- Gold scholarships, which award €5,000 worth of grants per year
- Silver scholarships cover the total amount of fees for the academic year except for the administrative fees that students pay themselves.
The requirements for the scholarships include a high GPA and presenting a motivation letter. To apply for merit-based scholarships, candidates must complete an online application form via the PoliMi portal.
Politecnico di Torino
Beneficiaries of the scholarship at Politecnico di Torino are non-Italian students who want to study for a Bachelor in Engineering or Architecture. The scholarship is awarded annually for the duration of an applicant’s studies and is valued at €8,000.
Being eligible entails meeting these requirements:
- Pass the admission test with a score of 60 or higher.
- Obtain your secondary high school diploma outside of Italy.
- Be enrolled in a Bachelor of Science Degree program at the Politecnico di Torino for the first time.
Scuola Normale Superiore
Scuola Normale Superiore is a public university in Pisa that offers doctorate-level scholarships. Italian citizens and international students who want to undertake their PhD research program at Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa are eligible. The PhD grant provides full financial support, including tuition and enrolment fees, and it covers the costs of boarding and accommodation.
An eligible candidate must have a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification, and an applicant will be evaluated based on your academic assessment and interviews.
Catholic University of the Sacred Heart
Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore) is a private research university with 12 faculties and seven postgraduate schools.
The Universita Cattolica International Scholarships Program provides financial assistance to international students who wish to pursue any degree at this Catholic-owned institution. UCSC scholarship covers about 25% of the total tuition and fees at the university.
A € 10,000 stipend is awarded to 5 recipients annually. Each academic year, the master committee assigns scholarships to talented students based on application evaluation.
University of Padua
The University of Padua offers the International Excellence Scholarship Programme for international students who want to pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English.
It provides as many as 43 scholarships annually, and only students with the best academic achievement will earn a grant. The scholarship provides an annual fee waiver and a stipend of about 8,000 Euros per year. However, the successful candidates will bear the cost of paying the registration fee.
