Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) is a scholarship program for all international students that have great passion for research work. This fully funded scholarship is available to students from different parts of the world who wish to obtain a PhD degree from universities in Singapore.
Recipients of the SINGA scholarship will be studying in the world’s best universities, (A*STAR Research Institutes). This will be conducted under the supervision of distinguished and renowned supervisors and all the training will be carried out in English.
Tuition Fees
International students who are studying at any Singaporean public or private university typically pay between $8,200 to $46,000 as tuition fees, depending on the institution.
Eligibility Criteria

Here are the requirements to be fulfilled for the Singapore International Graduate Award.
- Open to students of all nationalities.
- Candidates must have passion for research and excellent academic results
- Candidate must possess good skills in written and spoken English
- Candidate must have good reports from academic referees
- A*STAR may include additional selection criteria based on prevailing scholarship policies.
Study Areas
The Research areas to which this PhD (Doctoral) scholarship is applicable fall broadly under two categories:
- Biomedical Sciences
- Physical Science and Engineering.
Benefits of Scholarship
The Singapore International Graduate Award is a fully funded Scholarship that will cover all the tuition fees for the doctoral candidates. It will provide one-time airfare grant of up to $1,500 and settling-in allowance of S$1,000. Additionally, there will be monthly stipend of $2,200, which will be increased to $2,700 after the passing the qualifying examination.
