Lanzhou University of Technology is a public tertiary institution based in Lanzhou, Gansu, China. It was founded in 1909 as Gansu Law and Politics School, after which it developed to become Lanzhou Sun Yat-sen University in 1928 before getting its current name.

For master’s, the tuition fees that students are required to pay ranges from 16,000 to 18,000 CNY per year, while doctorate students are charged 24,000 CNY.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants;

  • Must be citizens of a country other than China
  • Must be in good health.
  • For undergraduate programs, applicant must have graduated from high school graduate;
  • Must be under the age of 25.
  • For the master’s programs, you must be a bachelor’s degree holder;
  • Must be under the age of 35.
  • For the doctoral programs, you must be a master’s degree holder;
  • Must be under the age of 40
  • Academic qualifications and Chinese language requirements:
    • Certificate of HSK4 being that all the programs are in Chinese.
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.

The Lanzhou University President Scholarship provides recipients with financial aid covering tuition fees, accommodation and a stipend of CNY 15,000 per year. The scholarship is subject to an annual review, depending on the beneficiary’s performance.

  • Prospective graduates can provide current transcripts when applying. After being admitted, you need to submit the complete transcripts upon registration;
  • Acceptance letter from a supervisor (if possible)

  • Study plan/ Research proposal
  • Letters of recommendation from at least two professors/associate professors
