Kipaji Masters Scholarships For Developing Countries 2025

The Kipaji Scholarship Fund is a program hosted at the University of Twente in the Netherlands and it targets talented students from countries with upcoming economies. This scholarship is meant as additional support for students who also receive a University of Twente Scholarship.

Academically outstanding students from the least developed countries and other low-income countries on the DAC list who could have the potential, but not the means to study at the University of Twente will be getting financial aid to make this possible. Interested candidates are advised to indicate in their UTS motivation letter that they also wish to be considered for the Kipaji scholarship.

The Kipaji Scholarship Fund was founded by a couple of alumni and friends of the University of Twente and is also supported by the university’s staff. The University of Twente, formerly Twente Technological University of Applied Sciences is a public higher institution in the Netherlands established in 1961. UT as this higher institution is popularly called is known for its focus on technology, innovation and entrepreneurship. The university promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, where students can take courses from other programs and work on projects with students from different backgrounds.

Eligibility Criteria

University of Twente Scholarship

For applicants to be eligible, they must:

  • Be nationals of one of the DAC countries
  • Have obtained a BSc in their home country or neighbouring country
  • Have exceptional grades for their pre-master programme (average of 8).
  • Currently be benefitting from a (partial) University of Twente Scholarship. The Kipaji Scholarship can ensure that they receive a full scholarship.
  • Write a letter of motivation

Benefits of Scholarship

The 2025 Kipaji Masters Scholarships at the University of Twente, Netherlands is worth up to € 12,000. The financial aid is meant as a compensation to the successful candidates from developing countries, for study related costs.

Application Procedure

  • Go to the university portal
  • Apply for a master’s programme
  • The faculty of the program nominates you for a Kipaji Scholarship.
  • Applicants may also be asked to submit a motivation letter. You are to explain how you intend to use your studies at the University of Twente to increase/enhance the scientific level or for entrepreneurial purposes in your home country.
  • It is important to indicate in the letter that you wish to apply for Kipaji Scholarship.
