The HAN Scholarships empower students from countries across the globe with funding to study at undergraduate and graduate levels in the Netherlands. Participants of the Han International Scholarships will be awarded financial aid while studying at HAN University of Applied Sciences.
This award offered in collaboration with the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, covers tuition fees for selected students pursuing bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
HAN University of Applied Sciences is a higher institution established in 1996. This young university known as Hogeschool Arnhem-Nijmegen is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in the Netherlands. HAN has its main campus in Nijmegen.
You are qualified to apply for this scholarship if you are a national of a country outside Europe, and have made outstanding achievements in education and personal development.
Tuition Fees
Domestic Students at HAN pay tuition fees of about €2,601 for bachelor’s and master’s programs. The tuition fees that International students pay are considerably higher, ranging from €9,000 to €10,560.
Eligibility Criteria
Highlighted below are the requirements that you must fulfill to be eligible for this scholarship.
- Applicants must be citizens of a non-EU/EEA country
- Candidates must be enrolled in a full-time English-taught degree program at HAN.
- Master’s applicants must not have previously enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program at a university or applied sciences university in the Netherlands.
- Candidates must demonstrate English proficiency with (IELTS/TOEFL /Cambridge Certificate).

Benefits of Scholarship
HAN International Scholarships 2025 are awarded to qualified students in two categories – HAN NL Scholarship and Honors Scholarship.
Bachelor’s Program
HAN NL Scholarship: Recipients will be awarded €2,500 in the 1st and 2nd semesters. Subsequently, €2,500 will be given to them annually for three years, contingent upon earning 45 credits each year.
Honors Scholarship: This award is automatically granted to students excelling academically in their first year. €2,500 will be provided in the 2nd year and subsequently each year, so long as they earn 45 credits annually.
Masters Program
HAN NL Scholarship: Beneficiaries will receive scholarship worth €2,500 in the first and second semesters, totaling €5,000.
Honors Scholarship: This scholarship is automatically awarded to outstanding students in the first year. A one-time payment of €2,500 is provided in the second semester.
