David Sainsbury Scholarship 2025

David Sainsbury Scholarship provides students from developing countries with financial support to study at the University of East Anglia. It is an opportunity initiated by the David Sainsbury Laboratory for a one-year full-funded master’s program in the United Kingdom.

The 2025 University of East Anglia (UEA) David Sainsbury Scholarship will cover the full tuition fees (£35,450) for selected applicants, provide a living stipend of £19,237, and an additional £4,000 for travel costs. This one-year course is offered for students to focus on Global Plant Health. It consists of five taught modules and a 5-month research project. These compulsory elements are exclusive to this course.

Tuition Fees

When studying a bachelor’s degree course at a university in the UK, the tuition fees that students generally pay range from £11,400 to £38,000. But international postgraduate tuition fees are within the range of £9,000 to £30,000.

Eligibility Criteria

University of East Anglia

To be eligible, applicant must;

  • Have received an offer of admission to the UEA (MSc in Global Plant Health)
  • Be national of or domiciled in a least-developed, low-income, or lower-middle-income country or territory as defined by the Overseas Development Agency Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list.

Scholarship Benefits

There are a limited number of scholarships available and they will cover the full cost of the tuition fee (£35,450). Recipients will be provided with maintenance grant around £19,237 and an additional £4,000 for travel costs (subject to valid economy class travel receipts).
