Waiting for Nnamdi Kanu to regain freedom soon – Charly Boy

Veteran musician and TV personality, Charles Oputa popularly addressed as Charly Boy, has expressed optimism that the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu is fast approaching.

Charly Boy hinted this while sending a warning to ‘saboteurs’ in the south-east who do not want Kanu to be freed by the Nigerian Government.

He said; “I am not a Sowore fan but on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s right, he got it right. Northerners can hate the Igbos all they want but they can Never Stop their Shine.

“To all the Saboteurs in Igbo land, there are people taking note, they see all that you scum bags do. For me, I am only waiting for the D day, cos I know it’s fast approaching. Dia Fathers.”

This comes as IPOB claimed that some Igbo politicians are sabotaging efforts by seek the release of Kanu after governors of the South-East announced that they will interface with the Nigerian government.

The governors of Imo, Anambra, Abia, Enugu and Ebonyi reached the decision to intervene after a meeting of the Forum in Enugu on Tuesday, which also had other stakeholders in attendance.

A communiqué issued by the south-east governors on Tuesday read in part; “The Forum deliberated on the reviewed report of the South East Security and economic Summit held in Owerri on the 28th September, 2023 and agreed to implement the aspects of the report pertaining to security and economic integration and affirmed its desire to put actionable plans on the key issues agreed.

“The Forum resolved to visit Mr. President to discuss pressing issues concerning the South East Region. The Forum also resolved to interface with the Federal Government to secure the release of Mr. Nnamdi Kanu.”
