
Killam Doctoral Scholarship is an annual program launched by the University of British Columbia for students to pursue doctorate programs in Canada. The Killam Scholarship Program was established in memory of Izaak Walton Killam through the Will of his wife, Dorothy J. Killam.
The primary purpose of this scheme is to support advanced education and research at five Canadian universities and the Canada Council for the Arts. Approximately 25 awards are offered yearly to the top PhD candidates in the Affiliated Fellowships competition.

Tuition Fees
The tuition fees at the University of British Columbia differ for graduate and undergraduate programs. On average, an international undergraduate student will pay between CAD31,000 and CAD80,259. Graduate programs can cost up to C$78,909 per year.
Eligibility Criteria

- Applicant should be a foreigner.
- Candidate must have completed only two years of doctoral study.
- Applicants must apply for the Affiliated Fellowships-Doctoral award competition.
Benefits of Scholarship
Recipients of the University of British Columbia Killam Doctoral Scholarship will receive CAD 40,000 worth of aid for the tuition fees. The fund will be awarded to candidates per annum for two years.
