Tems, who noted that she is a football fan, wondered why there can’t be a local tournament strictly for girls to play in as it would be a fun-filled activity.

The songstress said; “I love sports. I love sports, but if I could play football, I would. I’m like a football fan. I want to start a female football team. I think it is something that is needed. Like, why can’t we just have something like a local tournament with the girls? I feel like it would be fun.”

Tems also revealed how she intends for the women’s football team to play in regional competitions since she thinks it would help the Nigerian women’s league a lot.

Meanwhile, in another news…

Top Nigerian rapper, Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael better known as Zlatan Ibile has revealed that his dream career was to be a football player.

The 29-year-old ‘Lagos Anthem’ hit maker recalled when he thought about playing for La Liga giants, Barcelona, after failing at school.

Zlatan told the Echo Room host that he never had the intention of being a musician, stressing that he stumbled into music. According to the music star, he picked interest in music after one of his friends played a song he recorded for him.

He said; “I was not a bright student in secondary school. I struggled with Mathematics and Accounting. I was in a Commercial class. I failed my WAEC and I was supposed to sit at home for a year.

All my dream was to play for Barcelona. I tried my possible best but the corruption in Nigerian football discouraged me. I was playing for a local club then.

When I failed WAEC, I was going to sit down at home for a year, and then one of my friends came and played his record for me. I told him to take me to the studio the next time he was going. That was how I became a musician. I never had the intention of being a musician.”
