Bosak Microfinance Bank Limited was incorporated in December 2009 with the objective of providing financial services to micro clients excluded from the mainstream financial system. The bank commenced operations in June 2010 after obtaining a Unit Microfinance Banking License from the Central Bank of Nigeria and later upgraded to a State Microfinance Banking License in 2016.

The bank focuses on financial inclusion by promoting a savings culture, providing access to credit for income-generating activities, and reducing vulnerability through micro insurance.

Its operations are driven by a group lending methodology with a strong focus on women, who account for more than 95% of its lending activities. The bank emphasizes group solidarity and cohesion as key drivers of success.

Bosak Microfinance Bank has established strategic partnerships with institutions such as the Bank of Industry (BOI) and the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN).
