‘Nigeria still Jaga Jaga 21 years later’ – Rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem

Controversial rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem has expressed sadness that 21 years after he released his popular song, ‘Jaga Jaga’ the situation of the country is yet to improve.

Abdulkareem released the single under the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, to satirise the poor living condition in Nigeria.

The singer who’s been making the unbelievable revelations, lamented that the exchange rate of the Dollar going to 2,000 Naira is proof that things are getting worse.

He said; “Nigeria still Jaga Jaga 21 years later. Hunger everywhere, people are dying. How will people survive when Dollar is N1600? Goodluck Jonathan left it N198. [Muhammadu] Buhari took it to N300, [Bola] Tinubu skyrocketed it to N1600.

“Dollar is going to N2000. So how do you want common people to survive in this country? Even the Yorubas they were shouting ‘Emilokan’, they are the ones dying of hunger now.”

Watch him speak:

Nigerian media personality, Daddy Freeze has said that the Presidential candidate of AAC, Omoyele Sowore and LP’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi would have done better jobs than President Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking via a video message titled “Nigeria is in trouble”, he said he supported Sowore in the 2023 presidential election while most youths supported Peter Obi.

Daddy Freeze also noted that while Obi or Sowore wouldn’t have done anything different from what the President is currently doing, they however had the confidence of Nigerians in diaspora who would want to invest in the Nigerian economy.

According to him, that confidence reposed in the LP flagbearer would have served as anesthesia while the economic surgery is ongoing.
