Big Brother Naija ex-contestant and Nollywood actor, Seyi Awolowo has opened up on the challenges he faced while growing up in a polygamous home.
He revealed during a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, that his father disowned him and some of his siblings on several occasions.
Seyi, the grandson of late Obafemi Awolowo’s recalled how his dad made a list and kept detailed files on each of his children.
In the same interview, the reality star apologised to Big Brother Naija All Stars winner, Ilebaye and her parents for his misogynistic comments he made about her during the show.
The ‘Brotherhood’ actor also expressed regrets for the rift he had with his former friend, Tacha and expressed the desire to make amends.
Speaking on his marriage, Seyi disclosed that he met his wife at a wedding and later ‘toasted’ even though his friend liked her at the time.
He said his friend was moving too slow so he made the move and she agreed. Fastforward to 2020 and they walked down the aisle together.
Seyi said; “My father disowned me a couple of times. Not just me, a couple of us because my father married three wives.
“My father wrote letters to cut off his children, reducing our identities to mere names on a list. We all have files. ‘As of right now, your name is just Seyi, full stop’”.
