Job Summary

The company is recruiting a Standard Driver to operate assigned company vehicles, support transportation needs, and ensure compliance with company driving and safety policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned company vehicle for designated routes, departments, or personnel and ensure timely pickups and drop offs
  • Follow daily schedules and notify the Operations Officer of delays or operational issues
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips including tyres, oil, lights, brakes, and fuel checks
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure fuel cards and vehicle documents are properly handled
  • Keep accurate trip logs, mileage records, and fuel reports and submit required documentation as scheduled
  • Assist with loading and unloading light items when required
  • Comply with traffic regulations, company driving policies, and safety procedures
  • Provide courteous service to passengers and handle sensitive items with discretion
  • Be available for occasional overtime or split shifts when required

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of SSCE or WAEC or equivalent qualification preferred
  • Minimum of two years professional driving experience with preference for corporate driving experience
  • Valid Nigerian driver’s licence suitable for vehicle class
  • Clean driving record with no major traffic offences
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for documentation and record keeping

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and alternative routes
  • Good time management, punctuality, and reliability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve minor operational issues
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and report vehicle faults
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
