Job Summary
Odixcity Consulting is recruiting a Software QA Engineer to join its engineering team. The role is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of a SaaS platform by validating new features, identifying edge cases, and maintaining data integrity. The successful candidate will work closely with developers and contribute to delivering a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed and structured test plans and test cases for new features
- Perform end to end manual and functional testing to ensure alignment with business and design requirements
- Identify and test edge cases, boundary conditions, and unusual user workflows
- Validate backend data states using MongoDB and execute queries to confirm accurate data storage and retrieval
- Maintain and execute regression test suites to protect existing functionality
- Test API endpoints using tools such as Postman
- Conduct basic performance and load testing to ensure system stability
- Document, prioritise, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and collaborate with developers to verify fixes
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and QA methodologies
Technical Requirements
- 4 to 5 years of experience in quality assurance for web based SaaS applications
- Experience writing queries in MongoDB Query Language and navigating NoSQL data structures
- Familiarity with MongoDB Compass or Mongo Shell
- Proficiency in using browser developer tools such as Console and Network tab
- Knowledge of or interest in JavaScript automation frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright
- Experience with Postman and Jira or GitHub for issue tracking
- Familiarity with load testing tools such as JMeter or k6 is an advantage
