Xel Staffing is recruiting on behalf of its client, TasklyAfrica, to fill the position of Software Engineer.

As a Software Engineer at TasklyAfrica, you will build and maintain web applications, APIs, and software products for U.S.-based technology companies. The role involves working within cross functional teams, participating in code reviews, and contributing across the full software development lifecycle from design to deployment.

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications and APIs
• Write clean, well tested, and maintainable code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers
• Debug and resolve production issues efficiently
• Work with modern frameworks and tools including React, Node.js, and Python
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical documentation

• Minimum of 2 years professional software development experience
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as JavaScript, Python, or Java
• Experience with web frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, Django, or Laravel
• Familiarity with databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD workflows
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Reliable high speed internet and a professional home workspace
