Job Summary

SPDC is recruiting a Senior Operations & Maintenance Technician (Job ID: R194335) to execute routine and complex maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of field instrumentation, control systems, and automation equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and optimized operation of SNG facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Goal Zero targets including Zero Incidents, Accidents, Spills, and Ethics & Compliance breaches. Conduct site visits and complete UA/UC reports and close out actions.
  • Execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on field instrumentation such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters, switches, sensors, analyzers, and control valves.
  • Perform calibration, loop testing, functional tests, and configuration of instruments according to OEM standards.
  • Troubleshoot instrument faults, signal failures, wiring issues, and control loop abnormalities.
  • Update maintenance activities, calibration records, and job close-out in the CMMS.
  • Support instrument-related input into maintenance plans and job packs.
  • Support process automation and control, including control loop maintenance, tuning, process startups, shutdowns, upset conditions, and optimization.
  • Operate and maintain Emerson DELTAV DCS systems, including system health checks, troubleshooting, backups, restores, configuration updates, and integration of new instruments.
  • Provide feedback on recurring failures, assist in root cause analysis, and support reliability-focused reviews and audits.
  • Provide instrumentation support during project execution, commissioning, handover, and training when required.
  • Ensure compliance with SNG procedures, OEM guidelines, and HSE requirements.
  • Maintain documentation including loop drawings, instrument indexes, wiring diagrams, and as-built updates.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education:

  • HND in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical/Electronics, Automation & Control, or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is an added advantage

Experience:

  • 5–8 years’ experience in instrumentation and control maintenance or operations
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise with Emerson DELTAV operations and maintenance

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of process control systems and automation
  • Proficiency in DELTAV DCS hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, and control narratives
  • Understanding of control valves, positioners, transmitters, and analyzers
  • Strong fault-finding and analytical skills
