Job Summary

MTN Nigeria is recruiting for the role of Senior Manager, Sales and Trade Development Ogun - Sales and Distribution. The role is responsible for implementing regional sales strategies to achieve targets across MTN products and leading regional sales teams to support growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the sales and distribution team within the region
  • Ensure achievement of revenue, airtime sales, data device, data, VAS revenue, and gross connection targets
  • Coordinate regional cross functional integration and collaboration platforms
  • Drive execution of retail strategies including visibility, merchandising, retail expansion, loyalty programs, and relationship management
  • Implement wholesale channel strategies including partner relationship management, loyalty programs, profitability, and credit management
  • Ensure consistent customer experience across retail formats within the region
  • Manage regional OPEX and Profit and Loss responsibilities
  • Ensure effective field coverage by direct and auxiliary sales teams and execution of go to market plans
  • Develop and implement coaching and development programs for regional sales teams
  • Execute sales and distribution strategies for sustainable channel growth including go to market plans for MTN products
  • Ensure achievement of regional revenue, sales, and acquisition targets for voice and data services
  • Oversee regional dealership operations with trade partners and other sales channels
  • Ensure territory coverage, stock availability targets, and monitoring of recommended retail price compliance
  • Train and coach the sales channel team to ensure awareness of departmental objectives and targets

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

  • First Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Commerce, or any Social Science discipline
  • Postgraduate degree may be an added advantage
  • Fluency in English and the local language is preferred

Experience

  • 9 to 17 years of work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years managerial experience with at least 3 years in a relevant industry or sector
  • Experience working across diverse cultures and geographies is an advantage
  • Sales experience in FMCG, Services, or Logistics environment
  • Telecommunications industry experience is an added advantage
