Job Summary
MTN Nigeria is recruiting for the position of Senior Manager, Regional Marketing, Marketing NG. The role is responsible for driving business growth and brand performance by developing and implementing regional marketing strategies. The position supports brand and product campaigns across channels and touchpoints while contributing to market share growth and brand positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual and regional marketing plans focused on customer education, brand loyalty, brand preference, and product adoption
- Work with integrated marketing agencies to adapt national campaigns for regional deployment
- Ensure campaigns are deployed across appropriate regional channels simultaneously with national campaign launches
- Develop channel marketing strategies for regional propositions, products, and services
- Create and execute long term retail and on ground marketing strategies in collaboration with Sales teams and industry sectors to achieve business KPIs
- Ensure compliance with MTN corporate identity across trade communication materials in collaboration with the Master Brand team
- Compile regional competitive intelligence through market and audience analysis
- Standardize communication materials across MTN shops, trade channels, and other platforms in line with corporate identity requirements
- Support retail audits of MTN stores in collaboration with the Sales team
- Develop communication material deployment plans aligned with business priorities
- Identify new business opportunities including partnerships with FMCG companies and other sectors to support product adoption
- Maintain trade visibility across key commercial locations and revenue generating markets in collaboration with GTM teams
- Support customer education initiatives across sales channels
- Measure and report the performance of field activations against KPIs and ROI targets
- Identify regional trends and insights to improve communication and brand relevance
- Coordinate mystery shopping exercises to evaluate product knowledge among customer facing staff
- Manage activation agencies and sales representatives to achieve product adoption and regional sponsorship objectives
- Define activation KPIs for agencies and sales representatives in collaboration with commercial teams
- Support budget optimization to improve efficiency and performance
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- First Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business related discipline, or any Social Science field
- Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or related discipline
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration is an advantage
- APCON Certification
- Fluency in English and other local languages
Experience
- 9 to 17 years of relevant experience
- 8 to 12 years experience in marketing, go to market strategy, regional marketing, and brand activations
- Minimum of 8 years experience in developing and executing marketing strategies, retail marketing, and go to market plans
- 4 to 6 years experience in a leadership role managing teams
- Strong leadership and decision making skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of brand strategy, sponsorships, promotions, brand activations, and trade marketing
- Experience managing time sensitive projects and promotional planning with focus on product adoption strategies
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
