- The role involves supporting clients on complex accounting and financial reporting matters related to capital markets transactions.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with accounting and financial reporting requirements related to IPOs, bond issuances, mergers and acquisitions, and other capital market transactions.
- Prepare and review financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules in line with applicable accounting standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, tax, and valuation specialists to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Support due diligence processes by analyzing financial data and identifying accounting risks and issues.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and interpretations of accounting standards.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing offering memorandums, prospectuses, and regulatory filings.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, offering technical insights and solutions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
- Stay updated on accounting standards, regulatory developments, and industry best practices.
Our main areas of focus within the capital markets team include:
- Capital markets activities such as IPOs, spins, debt raisings, and capital structure advisory.
- Acquisitions and alliances including joint ventures, strategic alliances, licenses, and collaborations.
- Divestitures.
- Restructurings and restatements.
- GAAP conversions and changes in accounting standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
Position Requirements
- Minimum Experience: 3–5 years.
- Minimum Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or other business-related field (including acceptable NASBA foreign equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and other relevant accounting frameworks.
- Experience with IPOs, debt and equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of technical reports and client deliverables.
- Ability to work independently and within teams in a fast-paced environment with high-quality output.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Certification(s) Required:
- Passed or commenced ACA or AACA exams or equivalent accounting/finance certification in the candidate’s home country.
Knowledge Preferred:
- Collaborate with CMAAS practitioners and professionals (bankers, lawyers, auditors, advisors) on complex financial reporting matters.
- Demonstrate strong experience advising multinational companies and private equity firms on financial reporting and capital markets topics.
- Experience in:
- IPOs, debt offerings, and private placements
- Carve-outs, spin-offs, and restructuring activities
- Acquisitions, alliances, joint ventures, and post-deal integration
- Deep understanding of technical accounting and regulatory challenges in capital market transactions.
- Strong interest in deal-related and transaction-driven advisory work.
- Stay updated on evolving accounting standards and regulatory practices.
