Security Officer at Hotel Capitol

Hotel Capitol is a modern three star hotel located in Omole Phase 1. The hotel offers deluxe executive rooms, super executive rooms, and one bedroom and two bedroom luxury suites. The location provides easy accessibility to different parts of Lagos through well connected road networks.

The hotel is seeking a responsible and vigilant Security Officer to protect its premises, assets, and personnel. The role involves maintaining visibility, preventing unauthorized access, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding to security incidents to ensure the safety of staff and visitors.

• Monitor and authorize entry of employees, visitors, and other individuals to maintain security and prevent theft
• Patrol premises to detect and prevent signs of intrusion and ensure doors, windows, and gates are secure
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
• Prepare reports on daily activities and security irregularities such as property damage, theft, unauthorized access, or unusual incidents
• Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent prohibited items from entering restricted areas
• Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
• Observe alarm systems and video cameras and operate emergency or detecting equipment
• Respond to emergencies and provide assistance to staff and customers
• Follow security procedures including fire prevention, patrol routines, access control, and accident investigations

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience working as a security guard or in a similar role
• Knowledge of public safety and security procedures
• Strong surveillance and observation skills
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
• Physical fitness to stand or walk for long periods and carry out occasional physical intervention when required
