Job Summary

  • A highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP PO/CPI Consultant is required to join the Dangote SAP Delivery Center in India.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns and extensive hands-on experience with both SAP Process Orchestration (PO/PI) for on-premise integrations and SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) for cloud and hybrid environments.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting robust and scalable integration solutions.
  • These solutions will connect SAP systems with internal and external applications, ensuring seamless data flow and efficient business process automation.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Strategy & Design:

  • Lead the design and architecture of complex integration solutions.
  • Evaluate and select the best-fit technology between SAP PO and CPI based on business requirements, technical landscape, security considerations, and scalability needs.
  • Develop integration strategies, roadmaps, and best practices for both on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, functional consultants, and business stakeholders to convert business needs into technical integration specifications.

SAP Process Orchestration (PO/PI) Development & Support:

  • Design, develop, configure, and deploy integration scenarios using SAP PO, including AEX, ESR, ID, NWA, and BRM components.
  • Utilize various adapters such as SOAP, REST, RFC, IDoc, JDBC, SFTP, File, JMS, Proxy, and HTTP_AAE for integrations.
  • Develop and optimize message mappings (graphical, XSLT, Java), user-defined functions, and ABAP proxies.
  • Implement error handling, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms within SAP PO.
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization of existing PO interfaces.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for PO integration issues.

SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) Development & Support:

  • Design, develop, configure, and deploy integration flows (iFlows) using SAP CPI within SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
  • Work with multiple CPI adapters such as SOAP, REST, OData, SFTP, IDoc, SuccessFactors, JDBC, Process Direct, and Mail.
  • Develop and optimize data transformations using Groovy scripts and XSLT mapping.
  • Implement advanced CPI features including Value Mappings, Content Modifier, Request-Reply, Aggregator, Router, and Receiver Determination.
  • Configure secure communication using OAuth, SAML, Client Certificates, and PGP encryption.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting using CPI Monitor and ALM tools.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for CPI integration issues.

Consulting & Project Leadership:

  • Act as a lead consultant on integration projects across all phases including discovery, design, build, testing, and go-live.
  • Manage deliverables, timelines, and resources for integration workstreams.
  • Conduct technical workshops and training sessions for clients and internal teams.
  • Prepare detailed functional and technical documentation such as design specifications, configuration guides, and test plans.
  • Provide expert guidance on integration best practices, governance, and system optimization.

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead and participate in unit, integration, and user acceptance testing for developed interfaces.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and efficiency improvements in integration environments.
  • Stay updated with SAP integration technologies and trends such as SAP Integration Suite, API Management, and Event Mesh.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Requirements & Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Integration technologies.

Minimum 5+ years of dedicated experience with SAP Process Orchestration (PO/PI):

  • Extensive experience with ESR, ID, NWA, and various interface development patterns.
  • Strong understanding of PI/PO architecture, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in developing complex mappings using graphical tools, XSLT, and Java.

Minimum 3+ years of dedicated experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI):

  • Proven expertise in designing, developing, and deploying iFlows.
  • Hands-on experience with Groovy scripting for complex transformations and validations.
  • Familiarity with CPI adapters and configuration.
  • Strong understanding of CPI security concepts and best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of integration patterns such as synchronous and asynchronous messaging, routing, content enrichment, and publish-subscribe.
  • Expertise in integration protocols including SOAP, REST, OData, SFTP, JDBC, JMS, HTTP, and IDoc.
  • Experience with API Management within SAP BTP.
  • Proficiency in working with data formats such as XML, JSON, Flat File, and EDI.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong client-facing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills (Plus Points):

  • Certifications in SAP PO, SAP CPI, or SAP Integration Suite.
  • Experience with additional SAP BTP components such as Event Mesh, Open Connectors, API Management, and Kyma.
  • Knowledge of ABAP development including proxy generation, BAPIs, and IDoc enhancements.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience working with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
