Job Summary
MTN Nigeria is recruiting for the position of Representative, Sales and Trade Development (Alimosho 3 / Egan) within the Sales and Distribution division. The role involves managing trade infrastructure and financial services through distribution channels, particularly retailers, to support retail dominance within the assigned territory and improve brand visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Confirm that sub dealers and dealer branches are contacted and verify stock receipt and movement
- Provide informal training in retail outlets on products, services, and ongoing promotions, including on the spot coaching of visited outlets
- Manage promotional activities, develop sub dealer promo specifications, and conduct post promotion evaluations
- Provide weekly and monthly sales activity and market intelligence reports to field service engineers
- Monitor and report network quality and other sales impacting indicators within assigned territory
- Maintain a call cycle of 8 to 10 outlet visits daily or as required by business needs
- Identify, classify, and support channel distribution participants and ensure regular database updates
- Ensure MTN product availability in distribution channels remains above 95 percent and provide product availability reports
- Direct channel participants toward identified growth areas within assigned territory
- Maintain channel standards including branding in line with recommendations
- Increase brand awareness through signage and POS distribution with a target of 65 percent channel visibility
- Support outlets with merchandising in line with defined requirements
- Build relationships between authorized distributors, sub dealers, retailers, and trade partners
- Resolve issues related to activations, products, and promotions
- Gather market intelligence and provide feedback to management
Requirements & Qualifications
Education:
- First Degree, preferably in Social Sciences
- Fluency in English
Experience:
- 1 to 3 years experience in a relevant specialization
- Experience working within a medium sized organization
- Sales and marketing experience within a fast moving consumer goods environment
