Project Management Officer (PMO) at Polaris Digitech Limited

Polaris Digitech Limited is a location intelligence firm that provides data, software, and decision support services. The company develops and deploys Geographic Information Systems to support clients’ strategic and management objectives.

Polaris Digitech Limited is seeking a skilled and technology driven Project Management Officer with experience managing IT related projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager to oversee field operations and track project progress using appropriate project management tools.

• Participate in contract review processes and assist in translating agreed terms and conditions into project deliverables
• Communicate delegated project goals and objectives as defined by the Project Manager
• Identify project risks and maintain a risk register
• Support development, implementation, and monitoring of mitigation plans
• Assist in preparing project status reports and internal or customer progress reports in collaboration with the Project Manager, Project Accountant, and Administrative Manager
• Support Purchase Order maintenance including variation management, order tracking, and change management alongside Administrative and Finance Managers
• Comply with company and project specific procedures for reporting progress and issues
• Develop and manage project plans and reports
• Participate in project budget preparation with the Project Manager, Administrative Manager, and Finance Manager
• Facilitate effective communication and information flow among team members
• Maintain project calendars and milestone tracking
• Implement and administer quantitative staffing models developed by management to determine project resource levels

• BSc or HND in Business Administration, Computer Science, Geography, or a related discipline
• Maximum of 2 years post qualification experience in Project Management
• Exposure to IT solution projects within a multidisciplinary environment
• Strong knowledge of project management processes and ability to deploy applications live
• Familiarity with project management metrics and evaluation
• Good understanding of commercial and financial project processes
• Membership or affiliate status with a recognized Project Management body or relevant certification is an advantage
