Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist with professional experience in local and international procurement. The successful candidate will serve as a Category Buyer responsible for managing sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and procurement operations across assigned categories. The role requires strong professional qualifications and certifications to support compliance, efficiency, and value creation in procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for assigned categories across local and international markets
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing, quality, and delivery terms
  • Manage the full procurement cycle including requisition, tendering, evaluation, contract award, and supplier performance monitoring
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and relevant trade regulations
  • Work with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business requirements and project timelines
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality and service standards
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation for audit and performance reviews
  • Support continuous improvement in procurement processes, systems, and supplier management practices

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Purchasing & Supply, or related fields
  • Professional certification such as CIPS, ISM, PPAN, NPCP, CILPM, Institute for Supply Management, or equivalent
  • 5 to 10 years of progressive procurement experience with exposure to both local and international markets
  • Proven experience as a Category Buyer managing diverse product or service categories
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills
  • Proficiency in procurement software or ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of import and export regulations and international trade practices
