The hospital is recruiting an Optometrist who will report to the Chief Medical Director and support the daily care and management of patients in collaboration with the Consultant Ophthalmologist. The role involves contributing to the delivery of eye care services including vision assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and supervision of clinical activities to maintain quality patient care.

• Conduct comprehensive eye health and vision examinations using advanced diagnostic tools
• Prescribe and fit corrective lenses
• Educate patients on proper eye care and visual hygiene
• Apply knowledge of vision therapy techniques
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Support supervision of clinical activities and guide medical staff

• Doctor of Optometry Degree from a recognized institution
• Certification from the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria with a valid practicing license
• NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter
• Minimum of 2 years post NYSC clinical experience
• Proficiency in computer use
• Strong problem solving and clinical decision making skills
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and patient centred approach
• Must reside in Asaba or be willing to relocate
• Highly motivated team player
