Nurse / Midwife at St. Luke’s Hospital Asaba

St. Luke's Hospital Asaba provides diagnostic testing services by combining advanced medical technology with the expertise of skilled doctors and specialists.

The Nurse or Midwife will report to the Hospital’s Matron and support the day to day management of patients. The role involves assisting patients in maintaining their health and wellbeing and participating directly in patient care when required.

• Implement nursing care plans for patients in designated work stations
• Assist the medical team in diagnosis and treatment of patients
• Perform procedures including admissions and discharges, history taking, monitoring vital signs with necessary follow up, wound dressing, medication administration, IV placement, insertions, and other required assistance
• Report incidents promptly and manage patients’ grievances
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patient encounters
• Ensure a clean and safe environment at all times
• Comply with Standard Operating Procedures and hospital policies
• Adhere to established quality standards

• Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife qualification or other specialization with a valid Nursing Practicing License
• Computer literacy
• Good organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to manage stress and crisis situations
