• We are seeking a proactive and strategically minded Mines Procurement Specialist to support mining operations through efficient sourcing of equipment, materials, and services.
• The role focuses on ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement processes.
• It plays a critical role in maintaining supplier performance, operational reliability, and commercial efficiency across mine sites.
• The ideal candidate should be a skilled negotiator, strong relationship builder, and analytical thinker with experience in large-scale industrial or mining operations

• Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers that meet mining-specific technical, quality, and safety standards.
• Prepare, process, and manage purchase orders for equipment, spare parts, consumables, and services.
• Lead negotiations and oversee contracts to ensure competitive pricing, favourable terms, and full compliance.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to enhance performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor market trends and conduct cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and warehousing teams to forecast needs and optimize inventory levels.
• Assess supplier risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure operational continuity.
• Ensure strict adherence to procurement policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Track KPIs, prepare procurement reports, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with overall operational goals.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 6 – 10 years of procurement experience in mining, heavy industry, oil & gas, manufacturing, or similar sectors.
• Proven negotiation and contract management expertise.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in procurement systems and ERP tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Solid understanding of safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements within industrial operations.
