Inventory Officer at Dangote Industries Limited

The Inventory Officer is responsible for managing the movement, recording, and tracking of materials within the organization. The role involves receiving materials from vendors, dispatching items to various plants, maintaining inventory records, reconciling physical inventory with system data, and preparing inventory reports.

• Receive materials from various vendors daily
• Load and dispatch materials to various plants
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory databases and spreadsheets, including tracking all material movement
• Reconcile inventory with plants to ensure physical stock matches system records and identify discrepancies
• Prepare and analyse inventory reports for all items received and dispatched

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years work experience
• Proven experience in inventory management, stock control, warehousing, or similar roles
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing priorities
