The HEMM Operator at Dangote Cement Plc is responsible for operating Heavy Earth Moving Machinery such as Dumpers, Excavators, and Drillers in a safe and effective manner to support productivity.

• Operate assigned heavy equipment safely and efficiently in line with relevant legislation and company policies
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on machinery
• Conduct pre operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate, and refill equipment as scheduled or required
• Ensure all heavy equipment is safely and securely stored
• Participate in routine maintenance of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery
• Recommend maintenance or repair needs to the Shift Coordinator
• Practice workplace safety at all times
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Shift Engineer when required

• Trade Test or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline
• Minimum of two years experience operating heavy equipment
• Ability to operate required equipment safely and responsibly
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good networking and teamwork skills
• Good data gathering and analysis skills
• Basic problem analysis and problem solving skills
• Creativity and ability to think outside the box
• Proficiency in the use of office productivity tools
• Valid Class H Driver's License
