Job Summary
The Fuel Receipt Officer is responsible for overseeing the supply, storage, and distribution of fuel within the cement plant. The role ensures that fuel is efficiently received, stored, and utilized to maintain continuous plant operations and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Fuel Supply & Distribution Management
- Confirm and facilitate timely passage of trucks delivering fuel
- Monitor the receipt, storage, and distribution of fuels such as diesel, LPFO, gas, or alternative fuels within the plant
- Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and plant operations to maintain uninterrupted fuel supply
- Ensure all fuel deliveries meet quality and quantity specifications before offloading
Inventory Control & Reconciliation
- Maintain accurate records of fuel stock and track fuel movement
- Reconcile fuel received versus fuel consumed to prevent shortages, theft, or wastage
- Work with finance teams to verify invoices, payments, and supplier records
Compliance & Safety Monitoring
- Ensure adherence to HSE regulations and fuel storage safety protocols
- Monitor fuel storage tanks, pipelines, and metering systems for operational efficiency
- Conduct regular inspections to prevent contamination, leakages, or losses
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND from a reputable institution
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in oil and gas logistics
- Experience in truck unloading and storage management
- Expertise in inventory monitoring and control
- Knowledge of compliance and safety regulations
- Skills in equipment and facility maintenance
- Ability to coordinate and schedule truck arrivals and fuel operations
- Competence in data analysis, reporting, and documentation
- Problem-solving and risk management skills
- Professional certification in logistics and operations
