Hotel Capitol is a modern three star hotel located in Omole Phase 1. The hotel provides luxury and comfort with 32 rooms including deluxe executive rooms, super executive rooms, and one bedroom and two bedroom luxury suites. The hotel is situated in a location with good road access to different parts of mainland Lagos.

Job Summary

The hotel is seeking a skilled and dependable cook responsible for preparing meals according to hotel standards and guest preferences. The role requires commitment to hygiene and the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and room service orders based on established recipes and menus
  • Assist with menu planning and food presentation
  • Ensure meals are prepared promptly to meet guest expectations
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the kitchen, utensils, and food storage areas
  • Follow food handling procedures and comply with health and safety regulations
  • Monitor food stock and report shortages or low inventory to the chef or kitchen manager
  • Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries properly
  • Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently
  • Work with other kitchen staff to maintain smooth kitchen operations

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a cook in a hotel environment
  • Knowledge of different cooking methods, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and procedures
  • Familiarity with sanitation regulations and food safety standards
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Must reside within Ogba, Ojodu, Iyana Ipaja, or Ketu axis
