Electrical Engineer – Switchyard & Substation at African Steel Mills Nigeria Limited

African Steel Mills Nigeria Limited is a leading manufacturer and supplier of steel products, including steel bars.

The Electrical Engineer – Switchyard & Substation is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of the 33kV / 11kV switchyard, 33/11kV power transformers, HT/LT switchgear, protection relays, and the entire power distribution network that supplies the steel plant, including melting, rolling, utilities, and auxiliary sections.

• Manage daily operation and maintenance of the 33kV switchyard.
• Supervise and maintain 33/11kV and 11/0.433kV transformers.
• Operate and service VCBs, ACBs, SF6 breakers, and associated HT panels.
• Ensure reliable power distribution across all plant sections.

• B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering (Power option preferred).
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience.
