Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules for plant equipment including gas turbines, compressors, gas generators, gas compressors, DM plant, chiller, cooling tower, and auxiliary systems
- Plan and coordinate major overhauls, shutdowns, and inspections
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance engineers, technicians, and support staff
- Provide training and development opportunities to improve team skills and knowledge
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Ensure maximum plant availability and reliability by reducing downtime and responding quickly to equipment failures
- Implement maintenance best practices and modern techniques to improve plant performance
- Prepare and manage the maintenance budget to ensure cost effective use of resources
- Monitor and control maintenance expenses while maintaining high quality standards
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain safety and compliance standards
- Implement corrective actions to address risks and hazards
- Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and OEMs for procurement of spares, services, and maintenance support
- Evaluate contractor performance and ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and performance data
- Prepare periodic maintenance reports and present them to senior management
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 24 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within power plant operations
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of power plant systems including gas turbines, gas generators, and electrical systems
- Proficiency in SAP system
- Excellent problem solving, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance approaches
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in mechanical maintenance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant maintenance management software
