Job Summary

The company is seeking a Credit Officer to support lending activities by assessing clients’ creditworthiness and processing loan documentation within Badagry and surrounding areas including Agbalata Market, Ajara Market, Agumon Market, Ilogbo Remo Modern Market, Oko Afor Market, and Ceme Border Market.

The role involves preparing loan applications, evaluating clients’ financial records, calculating risk ratios, and ensuring lending requirements are properly met. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate knowledge of lending procedures and customer service practices while helping clients access loans in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review loan requests
  • Assess clients’ financial status
  • Evaluate creditworthiness and potential risks
  • Contact clients to obtain financial data and documentation
  • Analyse risks and approve or reject loan applications
  • Set up loan repayment plans
  • Maintain accurate records of loan applications
  • Follow up with clients regarding loan renewals
  • Monitor the performance of existing loans
  • Handle daily and weekly loan repayment collections

Requirements & Qualifications

  • NCE, OND, HND, or B.Sc in Banking and Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Proven work experience as a Credit Officer, Loan Officer, or similar role
  • Practical experience with lending procedures and financial products
  • Ability to prepare and manage financial spreadsheets
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service experience
