The Greenville LNG Plant is located in Rumuji near Port Harcourt, with customer locations across Lagos, Kaduna, Kano, Enugu, Sokoto, Aba, and other cities nationwide.

The Control Room Panel Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring plant systems in line with approved procedures and under the supervision of the Chief Operations Supervisor. The role involves coordinating with field operators, maintaining operating parameters, and ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant plant operations.

About the Job

• Operate the plant based on instructions from the Chief Operations Supervisor while coordinating with field operators
• Maintain operating parameters within approved procedure limits
• Manage and control plant start-up, shutdown, and operations under optimal technical, economic, safety, and environmental conditions
• Monitor system performance via SCADA control panel, take corrective actions, and report abnormalities
• Interpret indicator readings and gather data for reporting
• Propose corrective actions to prevent incidents and optimize processes
• Execute emergency maneuvers to protect plant, personnel, and environment using approved procedures
• Ensure equipment isolation during emergencies and support firefighting and rescue operations
• Coordinate with field operators and maintenance teams to prepare equipment for maintenance
• Support incident analysis and report development
• Collect and log operating data as required
• Ensure field operators carry out scheduled daily activities and maintain proper logbook records
• Participate in safety training, on-the-job training, and firefighting exercises
• Maintain accurate logs of trip switches and process alarms when bypassed
• Ensure proper shift handover and remain at duty post until relieved
• Maintain housekeeping standards in assigned areas
• Promote a positive work environment and report inappropriate behavior
• Perform any other duties assigned by management

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in any Engineering discipline
• Minimum of six years’ experience as a Control Room Operator in an LNG, gas plant, or oil and gas facility
• Strong knowledge of plant operation and maintenance
• Working knowledge of SCADA systems and PLC
