I blame those that donated for you – Burna Boy mocks Eedris Abdulkareem for criticising him in interview
Grammy-winning singer, Damini Ogulu professionally known as Burna Boy, has lambasted famous rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem over his negative comments about him.
Eedris criticised the ‘Last Last’ crooner for saying that nobody in the Nigerian entertainment industry helped him, and he said that is a stvpid talk.
In an trending video from an interview, the rapper said Burna Boy is not living up to his self-proclaimed identity ‘Odogwu.’ He said Davido is the real Odogwu, given his contributions to society and several other achievements.
Eedris Abdulkareem said: “You hear somebody like Burna Boy say ‘Nobody helped him in Nigeria’ that’s a stvpid talk.”
You’re not behaving like an African person; you’re behaving like a…. Please take it easy, dude. Wetin happen? Davido has been there before you; Wizkid has been there before you; a lot of people have been there before you. You’re not a giant, you’re not the giant of Africa.
“You never reach Odogwu; na Davido be Odogwu. Na Eedris Abdulkareem I be, na me dey talk the truth, even if you like am or not. It’s the same thing I said to 2face Idibia; I told him he’s the plantation, the rest, my boys, but don’t let it get to your head.
“Na Davido be Odogwu; I no know you. Na Davido be the only Odogwu wey we know because he has added value to the lives of people, and he’s not trying to take anybody’s shine.”
In response via Twitter, Burna Boy called him out and and shaded him by saying he blames those who contributed money for the Hip Hop artiste’s kidney transplant.
The Afrobeats star went on to wish that Eedris had the kind of popularity that would grant him access to the places he’s been, so that they can meet.
In a now-deleted tweet, Burna Boy said; “Abdul Kareem Abi wetin dem dey call your papa, I no blame you. I blame people wey donate money for your hospital bills. And I wish say you be person wey fit dey enter the kind places wey I dey dey, make we use mistake jam.”
