How to Post a Job on CorrectNG
A step-by-step walkthrough of every field and option available when creating a job listing.
Before You Start
Before you can post a job, two conditions must be met:
Job Title
Enter the exact title of the position you are hiring for. This is the primary headline job seekers will see when browsing or searching for jobs.
Job Type
Select the employment type for this position from the dropdown. Common options include Full-Time, Part-Time, Contract, Internship, and Freelance. This helps job seekers filter listings that match their availability and expectations.
Work Mode
Select how and where the work will be carried out. Options typically include On-site, Remote, and Hybrid. This is one of the most searched filters by job seekers, so accuracy here is important.
Role
This is a category field that classifies the job under a professional role — for example, Software Engineer, Accountant, or Marketing Manager. Begin typing in the field and select from the autocomplete suggestions that appear. This categorisation helps CorrectNG match your job to the right job seekers.
Application Deadline
Set the last date on which job seekers can submit an application. The deadline is entered using three separate dropdowns for Day, Month, and Year. Once the deadline passes, the job listing will close automatically and new applications will no longer be accepted.
Location
If this is a fully remote position, tick the “This is a remote job” checkbox. When enabled, the City and Country fields become optional and the listing will be tagged as Remote.
Enter the city where the job is based. This is required for all non-remote positions and is used to display the location on the listing and in location-based search filters.
Enter the state or region of the job location, if applicable.
Select the country where the role is based. Required for all non-remote jobs.
Salary
Select the currency for the salary. Defaults to NGN (Nigerian Naira). You can change this to match the currency of the role if hiring for an international position.
Enter the salary amount, range, or compensation structure. You can write this as a specific figure, a range (e.g. 150,000 – 200,000 per month), or a general note (e.g. Competitive, Negotiable). This is displayed publicly on the job listing.
Job Content
These three fields form the main body of your job listing. All three support rich text formatting — you can use bold, bullet points, and numbered lists to improve readability.
A concise overview of the role. Describe what the position is, what the team or company does, and why the role exists. This is typically the first thing a candidate reads, so keep it clear and engaging. Two to four sentences is usually sufficient.
List the main duties and day-to-day tasks the successful candidate will be responsible for. Use a bulleted list format for easy reading. Be specific — vague responsibility lists discourage good candidates and attract the wrong ones.
List the education, skills, certifications, and experience required for this role. Separate must-have requirements from nice-to-have ones where possible. This field sets the baseline expectation for applicants reading the listing.
Application Method
Choose how job seekers will submit their application. There are three options. This choice permanently locks once a job is published — it cannot be changed when editing an existing job.
🏢 Accept Applications on CorrectNG
Applicants apply directly through CorrectNG. You manage everything — screening, shortlisting, emailing, scoring, and exporting — from your employer dashboard. This method unlocks the full ATS feature set.
🔗 External Link
Applicants clicking “Apply” on CorrectNG are redirected to a URL you provide — such as your company’s own careers page or a third-party ATS portal. You must provide a valid application URL.
Applicants are shown an email address and instructed to send their application there directly. You must provide a valid receiving email address.
Application Sections
When accepting applications on CorrectNG, you choose exactly what information applicants must provide. Each section can be set as Required (applicant must fill it in) or Optional (applicant may skip it). Basic Information is always required and cannot be removed.
Name, email, phone, location, gender. Always required.
A short personal statement from the applicant.
Past roles, employers, and dates.
Academic qualifications and institutions.
Comma-separated skills list.
Professional certificates and licences.
CV file upload (PDF, DOC, DOCX, max 5MB).
NYSC status and willingness to travel.
Languages, projects, volunteer experience.
Eligibility Screening
CorrectNG automatically screens applicants against the criteria you set before they can submit. Applicants who do not meet your requirements are blocked from applying and shown a clear message explaining why. This means every application that reaches your dashboard has already passed your eligibility gate.
Age Restriction
Set the maximum age (in years) an applicant must be to apply. This field is only visible when the Age section is included in your application form. Enter a value between 16 and 99. Leave blank to accept applicants of any age.
Specify the reference date against which the applicant’s age should be calculated. For example, if you need applicants to be 35 or under by the 1st of January, set that date here. If left blank, the applicant’s age is calculated at the time they apply.
Minimum Experience Requirement
Set the minimum total years of professional experience an applicant must have to be eligible. This field is only visible when the Work Experience section is included in your application form. Enter a value between 0 and 50. You can use decimal values such as 0.5 for six months or 2.5 for two and a half years.
Educational Qualification Screening
When enabled, applicants must hold at least one of the educational qualifications you specify in order to apply. You can create multiple qualification groups, giving you the flexibility to accept candidates from a variety of academic backgrounds.
Switch this on to activate qualification screening for this job. Once enabled, you can build one or more qualification rules that define the acceptable education criteria.
Each group defines an acceptable qualification pathway. For each group you can specify the degree level (e.g. Bachelor’s, HND, OND), the field of study, and the minimum grade or classification required. An applicant qualifies if they match at least one of the groups you define.
Custom Questions
Beyond the standard application sections, you can add your own custom questions specific to this role. Each custom question appears as a separate section within the application form that the applicant must complete.
The heading of the question as the applicant will see it, for example “Why are you interested in this role?” or “Describe a relevant project you have worked on.”
Additional context or instructions to help the applicant understand what you are looking for in their answer.
Choose how the applicant provides their answer. Options include: Text (open-ended written response), Single Choice (select one from a list), and Multiple Choice (select one or more from a list). For choice-based types, you must provide at least two options.
Set whether answering this question is compulsory or optional for the applicant. Required questions block submission if left blank. Optional questions can be skipped.
Application Limit
Set a cap on the total number of applications this job can receive. Once the limit is reached, the listing is automatically marked as filled and new applicants can no longer apply. You can enter any value between 1 and 9,999. Leave blank if you want to accept an unlimited number of applications.
Publishing Your Job
Once all required fields are filled in, click Publish Job Posting at the bottom of the form. The system will validate your entries and alert you to any missing or invalid fields before proceeding.
Editing a Job
You can edit most details of an active job at any time from the My Jobs section of your dashboard. Click the Edit button next to any job to load it back into the job form with all existing values pre-filled.
You can update the job title, work mode, role, deadline, location, salary, job summary, responsibilities, requirements, and application sections.
The application method (onsite, offsite, or email) is permanently locked once a job is published and cannot be changed during editing.
