Nigerian skitmaker and actress, Kemi Ikuseedun, professionally known as Kemz Mama, has dished some words of advice to young ladies who are considering or currently engage in modern prostitution locally termed ‘Hookup’.
The content creator popular for her on-screen character as Mummy Wa, the fictitious wife of Mr Macaroni, said women can find other means of survival.
She was speaking to The Punch and acknowledged that the hardship in Nigeria is pushing people to do different things to make a living.
Kemz Mama said; “A lot of people are doing different things to survive in Nigeria, and it is craazy. However, I don’t advise people to engage in ‘hook-up’, whether digitally or physically. There are other ways to make money and survive.”
Talking about the experience of acting as Mr Macaroni’s wife, she said; “The best part of playing Mummy Wa is actually acting alongside Mr Macaroni. He is a wonderful person, and I am just so happy playing the character.”
The interviewer asked her why she recently shared a video collage of herself detailing her days of small beginnings, and Kemz noted that a movie he produced is coming out soon and the post was a way of reminding herself of her humble beginning in the industry.
“I was inspired to share the video, because of the fact that my movie is coming out soon. I am very happy about it. For some people, it might not mean anything, but this thing that started small for me has become a whole lot. It is something I have always wanted to do, and I am happy that I have done it, and will still do even more,” Mummy Wa said.
