General Platform Terms and Policies

Everything you need to know about using CorrectNG — who can register, how your account works, your rights, and what we expect from all users.

Effective: March 2026  ·  Applies to all CorrectNG users

These General Platform Terms and Policies (“Terms”) govern all use of the CorrectNG platform, including correctng.com, the job seeker dashboard, the employer dashboard, and any related services. By registering an account or using the platform in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not register or use CorrectNG. More detailed policies for specific areas are available in our Employer Policies and Job Seeker Policies documents.

1

About CorrectNG

CorrectNG is a professional online job board operating in Nigeria. It connects job seekers with verified employers through a structured hiring environment — providing tools for posting jobs, managing applications, and communicating with candidates.

CorrectNG acts as an intermediary. It does not employ job seekers, represent either party in negotiations, or guarantee any employment outcome. CorrectNG is not a party to any employment agreement that may result from use of the platform.

2

Account Types

CorrectNG has two distinct account types. The same person or entity may not hold both simultaneously.

🎓 Job Seeker Account

  • Individual persons only
  • Browse and apply for jobs
  • Build a career profile and upload a CV
  • Receive emails from employers you’ve applied to
  • Subscribe to job alert newsletters
  • Minimum age: 16 years
  • Free to register and use

🏢 Employer Account

  • Registered businesses only
  • Post and manage job listings
  • View and manage applications
  • Communicate with applicants by email
  • Access recruitment and shortlisting tools
  • Requires document verification and approval
  • Premium subscription required for advanced features
One account per identity. Registering multiple accounts of the same type, or holding both types under the same identity, violates these Terms and may result in all associated accounts being terminated.
3

Job Seeker Registration

Job seeker registration is free. You must provide your real name, a valid phone number, a valid email address, and a password. Your email address is your login username, and only one account may be registered per email address.

After registering, you will need to verify your email address before you can access your dashboard. See Section 5 for details.

Prohibited. Registering under a false name, using someone else’s contact details, or creating an account on behalf of another person is strictly prohibited.
4

Employer Registration and Verification

Employer registration requires your personal contact details, your company information, and the upload of official verification documents. This protects job seekers and ensures only legitimate, registered businesses can post jobs on CorrectNG.

What you need to provide

You will be asked for your name, email address, and phone number as the company representative, along with your company’s registered name, company email, and full office address.

You must also upload four verification documents: a government-issued ID (National ID, NIN Slip, Driver’s Licence, Voter’s Card, or International Passport), your Certificate of Incorporation, a recent proof of your company’s physical address (bank statement or utility bill, no older than 3 months), and an authorisation letter on official company letterhead signed by a Director, CEO, or HR Manager confirming you are authorised to register on the company’s behalf.

All documents must be in JPG, PNG, or PDF format, and no larger than 5 MB each.

What happens after you register: Once you verify your email, our team will review your documents. This usually takes 1–2 business days. You will receive an email once your account is approved. You cannot post jobs or access the employer dashboard until approval is granted.
Document authenticity. All documents must be genuine and unaltered. Submitting fraudulent or forged documents will result in permanent rejection and may be referred to the relevant Nigerian authorities.
5

Email Verification

After registering, a 6-digit verification code will be sent to your email address. Enter this code on the verification screen to confirm your email. Each code is valid for one hour — if it expires, you can request a new one.

If you don’t receive the code, check your spam folder first. You can request a new code from the verification screen. There is a short wait between resend requests, and a daily limit on the number of times you can request a new code.

Job seekers: Once verified, your account is activated and you are taken straight to your dashboard.

Employers: Verification moves your account into document review. You will be notified by email once our team has completed their review.

6

Login and Account Security

Your registered email address is your login username. Your password must be at least 8 characters long. You can change your password at any time by visiting correctng.com/change-password — you will need to enter your current password to set a new one.

If you enter an incorrect password too many times, your account will be temporarily locked. A message on the login page will tell you when you can try again. Please wait for the timer to clear before attempting to log in again, as further attempts while locked will extend the wait.

Keep your account safe. Never share your password with anyone. CorrectNG staff will never ask you for your password. If you believe someone else has accessed your account, contact us immediately at [email protected].

Job Listings

All job listings on CorrectNG must represent genuine, current vacancies at the posting employer’s organisation.

Your company profile must be complete before you can publish any listing.
The application method you choose is fixed once a listing is published. Whether applications are received on CorrectNG, via an external link, or by email cannot be changed after the listing goes live.
Receiving applications on CorrectNG requires an active Premium subscription.
Listings cannot be edited after their deadline has passed.
Prohibited listings. You may not post fictitious or misleading listings, listings that request payment from applicants, listings for illegal activities, or duplicate listings for the same active role. Such listings will be removed.
9

Applications

You can only apply to each listing once.
Applications are final. Once submitted, your application cannot be withdrawn or edited. Make sure all information is accurate and complete before you confirm.
All information must be truthful. Misrepresenting your experience, qualifications, or identity may result in account suspension and disqualification from the hiring process.
Eligibility requirements are checked automatically. If a listing has age, experience, or education requirements, these are verified when you apply. You will not be able to submit if you do not meet the stated criteria.
You cannot apply to a listing after its deadline.
CV uploads must be PDF, DOC, or DOCX, and no larger than 5 MB. Only submit your own genuine CV.
10

Emails from Employers

Premium employers can email their applicants directly through CorrectNG. These emails will always come from a @correctng.com address, and the display name will match the job title you applied for — so you can easily identify which application it relates to.

Whether you can reply depends on whether the employer has provided a reply address. If not, the email is one-way only.

Emails must relate to your application. Employers may only use this tool to communicate about the specific role you applied for.
CorrectNG will never ask you for money by email. No legitimate employer on CorrectNG, and CorrectNG itself, will ever email you requesting a fee, payment, or bank details. If you receive such a message, do not respond — report it immediately to [email protected].
11

Newsletter and Job Alerts

CorrectNG offers a free job alert service to notify you when new jobs are posted. Subscribing is optional and does not require a registered account.

How to subscribe. A subscription form appears on job listing pages. Enter your email address and click “Subscribe.” You are subscribed immediately.
WhatsApp alerts. Where available, CorrectNG also shares job alerts via WhatsApp. Links to join appear alongside the email subscription form. Joining is optional and governed by WhatsApp’s own terms.
How to unsubscribe. Every job alert email contains a personal unsubscribe link. Click it at any time to stop receiving emails. You will be unsubscribed immediately.
Re-subscribing. If you previously unsubscribed and enter your email again, you will be re-subscribed and will receive a confirmation.
We only use your email for job alerts. CorrectNG does not sell or share your email address with any third party. Job alert emails are sent from [email protected].
12

Your Data and Privacy

CorrectNG collects and uses personal data to operate the platform in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and our Privacy Policy.

What we collect from job seekers. Your name, phone number, and email at registration. The career profile information you choose to add — work experience, education, skills, and a CV. Your application records.
What we collect from employers. Your contact details and company information at registration, along with the verification documents you upload. Your job listings and the applications received through them.
What is shared with employers when you apply. The employer receives your name, email address, and the profile information included in your application. Once received, the employer is independently responsible for how they store and use your data.
Your rights. You have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data held by CorrectNG. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected]. Deleting your CorrectNG account does not remove data already received by an employer.
We do not sell your data. CorrectNG does not sell or rent personal data to any third party.
13

Acceptable Use

The following apply to all users. Violating any of these may result in account suspension or termination.

No fraud or deception. Do not post fake job listings, submit false applications, fabricate qualifications, or misrepresent your identity.
No malicious file uploads. Do not upload files containing viruses, malware, or any harmful code.
No impersonation. Do not register as another person, or represent a company you are not authorised to act on behalf of.
No misuse of contact data. Contact details received through CorrectNG must only be used for the recruitment purpose for which they were shared.
No abusive or offensive content. Do not submit, post, or send content that is harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate.
No payment requests to applicants. Employers must never use CorrectNG or data obtained through it to request fees or payments from job seekers.

15

Limitation of Liability

No guarantee of outcomes. CorrectNG does not guarantee that any job seeker will receive an interview or offer, or that any employer will find a suitable candidate.
No guarantee of listing accuracy. CorrectNG verifies employer accounts but cannot independently confirm every detail in every listing. Use your own judgement when evaluating opportunities.
External applications. Where a listing directs you to an external site or email address, CorrectNG has no involvement in that process and is not responsible for what happens there.
Platform availability. CorrectNG aims to keep the platform running at all times but does not guarantee uninterrupted access and is not liable for losses arising from downtime outside its reasonable control.
Employer data handling. Once an employer receives your application data, they are independently responsible for it. CorrectNG is not liable for how employers manage your information after receipt.
16

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from use of CorrectNG is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Nigeria. The Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 governs all personal data collected through the platform.

Try us first. Before pursuing formal action, we encourage you to contact us at [email protected]. We aim to resolve concerns fairly and informally wherever possible.
17

Changes to These Terms

CorrectNG may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify registered users by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of CorrectNG after updated Terms are published means you accept the changes. If you do not agree, you should stop using the platform.
