These Employer and Job Posting Policies (“Policies”) form part of your agreement with CorrectNG and apply to all employers registered on the platform. By creating an employer account or posting a job on CorrectNG, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Policies.
These Policies exist to protect job seekers from fraudulent or misleading listings, to maintain the quality and integrity of the CorrectNG platform, and to ensure that all employers operate within a framework of fair, lawful, and ethical hiring practices.
CorrectNG reserves the right to remove any content, suspend any account, or terminate any employer’s access to the platform if these Policies are violated.
By registering as an employer and using the CorrectNG employer dashboard, you agree to these Policies in full. If you do not agree with any part of these Policies, you must not use the employer features of CorrectNG.
Where an employer is a company, organisation, or other legal entity, the individual who registers on behalf of that entity represents that they have the authority to bind the entity to these Policies. The entity and the individual registering are jointly responsible for compliance.
Note: These Policies apply in addition to CorrectNG’s general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In the event of a conflict, these Policies take precedence for matters relating to employer accounts and job postings.
To register and maintain an employer account on CorrectNG, you must meet all of the following requirements:
Legal entity. You must be a registered business, organisation, sole trader, or other legally recognised entity operating in Nigeria or hiring for positions based in or open to candidates in Nigeria.
Genuine hiring intent. You must be using CorrectNG for the purpose of recruiting candidates to fill actual, current, or near-future vacancies. The platform may not be used for speculative, fictional, or research purposes that involve posting fake job listings.
Accurate company information. All company details provided during registration and on your employer profile must be accurate, current, and truthful. This includes your company name, registered address, industry, and contact information.
Complete company profile. Your company profile must be completed to 100% before you are permitted to publish any job listing. This requirement exists to ensure job seekers can make informed decisions about the employers they apply to.
Minimum age. The individual managing the employer account must be at least 18 years of age.
3
Account Responsibilities
Each employer is responsible for all activity that takes place under their account, regardless of who performs that activity.
Account security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share your account access with unauthorised individuals. CorrectNG will not be held liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorised access to your account.
One account per employer. Each employer entity is permitted one registered employer account. Creating multiple accounts for the same entity is not permitted without prior written approval from CorrectNG.
Account accuracy. You must keep your account information up to date. If your company name, contact details, or business nature changes materially, you must update your profile accordingly.
Non-transferability. Employer accounts are non-transferable. You may not sell, assign, or otherwise transfer your account to another individual or entity.
Impersonation. You must not impersonate another company, brand, or organisation. Using a company name, logo, or identity that you are not authorised to represent is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.
All job listings published on CorrectNG must meet the following standards. CorrectNG reserves the right to remove any listing that does not comply, with or without prior notice.
Accuracy and Truthfulness
Genuine vacancies only. Every job posted must represent a real, current opening that the employer intends to fill. Listings posted to collect resumes without genuine hiring intent, for market research, or to test the platform are not permitted.
Accurate job details. The job title, description, responsibilities, location, work mode, employment type, and compensation must accurately reflect the actual role being offered. Misleading or exaggerated descriptions are not permitted.
Current deadlines. Application deadlines must be realistic and reflective of the employer’s actual hiring timeline. Setting an artificially far future deadline to keep a listing active without genuinely reviewing applications is not acceptable.
Correct application method. The application method selected at the time of posting must remain functional for the duration of the listing. If an external application URL becomes inactive, the employer must update or remove the listing promptly.
Content Requirements
Complete job descriptions. Listings must include a meaningful job summary, a description of key responsibilities, and the requirements and qualifications for the role. Listings that contain insufficient detail to allow an informed application decision may be removed.
Professional language. All job listing content must be written professionally. Content that is offensive, discriminatory, sexually suggestive, or otherwise inappropriate in a professional context will be removed immediately.
Relevant requirements only. Screening criteria, eligibility requirements, and custom application questions must be genuinely relevant to the role being advertised. Requirements that have no reasonable connection to the job are not permitted.
No fees requested from applicants. You must not use a CorrectNG job listing to request any payment, fee, deposit, or financial contribution from job seekers at any stage of the application process. Any listing found to be soliciting payments from applicants will be removed and the account suspended immediately.
The following types of job listings are strictly prohibited on CorrectNG. Publishing any listing of this nature will result in immediate removal and may result in account suspension or permanent termination.
Fraudulent or scam listings. Any listing designed to deceive job seekers — whether to obtain personal information, extract money, or lure applicants into unsafe situations — is strictly prohibited.
Multi-level marketing and pyramid schemes. Listings that are structured around recruitment into MLM programmes, commission-only chain recruitment, or pyramid schemes are not permitted, regardless of how they are described.
Illegal activities. Listings that involve, promote, or facilitate any activity that is unlawful under Nigerian law or applicable international law are prohibited.
Adult or inappropriate content. Listings that involve or imply adult entertainment, escort services, or any sexual or explicit content are strictly prohibited.
Domestic or informal arrangements. CorrectNG is a professional recruitment platform. Listings for domestic workers, personal household staff, or purely informal arrangements outside of a business context are not permitted.
Duplicate listings. Posting the same job multiple times simultaneously to increase visibility is not permitted. Each active vacancy should be represented by a single listing.
Third-party recruitment without authorisation. If you are a recruitment agency posting on behalf of a client, you must have written authorisation from the client to represent them and post on their behalf. Unauthorised third-party postings are not permitted.
Listings designed to harvest personal data. Any listing that exists primarily to collect personal information from job seekers, without genuine hiring intent, constitutes a violation of both these Policies and applicable data protection law.
6
Applicant Data and Privacy
When job seekers apply to your listings on CorrectNG, you receive access to their personal information including names, contact details, CVs, and any other data they have submitted. This access carries significant responsibilities.
Purpose limitation. Applicant data received through CorrectNG may only be used for the specific purpose of evaluating the applicant’s suitability for the role they applied to. It must not be used for any other purpose, including marketing, selling to third parties, or applying to other roles without the applicant’s consent.
Data protection compliance. As an employer, you are an independent data controller in respect of the applicant data you receive. You are responsible for ensuring that your handling of this data complies with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and any other applicable privacy laws.
Data security. You must take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect applicant data from unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure.
Retention limits. Applicant data should not be retained for longer than is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Where an applicant is not selected and expresses a wish for their data to be deleted, you must comply promptly.
No unauthorised sharing. You must not share applicant data with third parties, affiliates, or other organisations without the applicant’s explicit consent, except where required by law.
Important: Misuse of applicant data is a serious breach of these Policies and may constitute a violation of Nigerian data protection law. CorrectNG may be required to report such violations to the relevant regulatory authorities.
7
Screening and Eligibility Criteria
CorrectNG provides tools that allow employers to set automatic eligibility screening criteria, including age restrictions, minimum experience requirements, and educational qualification requirements. The use of these tools is subject to the following rules.
Criteria must be job-related. Any eligibility requirement you set must have a genuine, justifiable connection to the role. Age limits, experience minimums, and qualification requirements must reflect real operational or professional needs of the position.
Proportionality. Screening criteria must be proportionate to the nature of the role. Setting an unreasonably high barrier for an entry-level position, or screening out candidates based on criteria that bear no relation to job performance, is not acceptable.
Discriminatory screening. You must not use CorrectNG’s screening tools to discriminate against candidates on the basis of gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, marital status, pregnancy, or any other protected characteristic. Screening must be based exclusively on professional qualifications, skills, and experience relevant to the role.
Custom questions. Any custom screening questions you add to your application form must be professional, relevant to the role, and free from content that could constitute harassment, discrimination, or invasion of privacy.
Note: CorrectNG provides screening tools as a convenience. The employer remains solely responsible for ensuring that the criteria they set are lawful, fair, and relevant to the role being advertised.
8
Communication with Applicants
CorrectNG provides bulk email tools that allow employers to communicate with applicants directly through the platform. The following rules govern the use of these communication tools.
Relevant communication only. The bulk email feature must only be used to send communications that are directly relevant to the recruitment process for the job the applicant applied to. This includes interview invitations, application status updates, assessment instructions, and other hiring-related messages.
No unsolicited marketing. You must not use applicant contact information or the CorrectNG bulk email tool to send promotional, marketing, or commercial messages unrelated to the recruitment process.
No harassment. Communication with applicants must remain professional and respectful at all times. Sending abusive, threatening, or harassing messages to applicants through any channel is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.
Accurate sender identity. The sending email address you configure on CorrectNG must represent your actual organisation. You must not impersonate another company or individual in any communication sent to applicants.
Timely communication. Employers are strongly encouraged to communicate application outcomes to all applicants within a reasonable timeframe after the vacancy closes, regardless of whether the applicant was successful.
Note: The sending email prefix you set for a job is permanent and cannot be changed once set. Choose an address that clearly identifies your organisation.
9
Subscriptions and Billing
Certain features of the CorrectNG employer dashboard — including accepting applications directly on the platform, scoring applicants, sending bulk emails, and exporting applicant data — require an active Premium subscription.
Premium features require an active subscription. Access to Premium features is contingent on maintaining a current, paid subscription. If your subscription lapses, access to Premium features will be suspended until your subscription is renewed.
Accurate billing information. You must provide accurate and current payment information. It is your responsibility to ensure that your payment details remain valid and that subscription renewals process successfully.
No chargebacks for services rendered. If you have received access to and used Premium features during a billing period, you agree not to initiate an unjustified chargeback or payment dispute with your payment provider in respect of that period.
Subscription is non-transferable. A Premium subscription is tied to the employer account for which it was purchased and may not be transferred to another account or employer entity.
Job postings and applicant data on cancellation. If you cancel your Premium subscription, your published job listings will continue to display until their stated deadlines, but access to Premium dashboard features will be suspended. Applicant data already submitted will remain accessible but new applicant management features will be unavailable until the subscription is renewed.
10
Fair Hiring Obligations
CorrectNG is committed to promoting fair, inclusive, and merit-based hiring across Nigeria. All employers using the platform are required to uphold the following fair hiring standards.
Non-discrimination. You must not discriminate against job seekers on the basis of gender, age (except where a lawful age restriction applies to the role), ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, pregnancy, marital status, political opinion, or any other characteristic protected under Nigerian law or applicable international standards.
Merit-based selection. Hiring decisions must be based on the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and suitability for the role. Personal bias, favouritism, or arbitrary exclusion of candidates is not consistent with the use of this platform.
Equal opportunity. Where multiple candidates meet the stated requirements for a role, all such candidates must be given equal and fair consideration in the recruitment process.
Compliance with Nigerian labour law. All employment terms, conditions, and practices associated with roles advertised on CorrectNG must comply with the Nigerian Labour Act, the Employee’s Compensation Act, and any other applicable employment legislation.
No exploitation. CorrectNG must not be used to advertise positions that involve unpaid labour beyond lawful internship arrangements, exploitative working conditions, or any form of employment that violates applicable minimum wage or labour protection laws.
Your content. By posting a job listing on CorrectNG, you grant CorrectNG a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote that listing for the purpose of operating the platform and reaching potential applicants. You retain ownership of all content you create.
Originality. All content you post on CorrectNG must be your own or you must have the right to use it. You must not copy job descriptions, screening questions, or other content from other employers without authorisation.
CorrectNG intellectual property. You must not copy, reproduce, modify, or commercially exploit any part of the CorrectNG platform, its design, code, content, or features without prior written permission from CorrectNG.
Third-party rights. You must not post content that infringes the intellectual property rights, trademarks, or copyrights of any third party.
12
Enforcement and Consequences
CorrectNG actively monitors listings and employer activity for compliance with these Policies. Where a violation is detected or reported, CorrectNG may take one or more of the following actions depending on the severity and nature of the breach.
- ⚠️
Warning. For minor or first-time violations, CorrectNG may issue a written warning and require the employer to correct the offending content within a specified timeframe.
- 🗑️
Listing removal. Any job listing that violates these Policies may be removed from the platform immediately, with or without prior notice to the employer.
- 🔒
Feature restriction. CorrectNG may temporarily restrict access to specific features — such as the ability to post new listings, send bulk emails, or collect applications — pending investigation or remediation of a reported issue.
- ⏸️
Account suspension. For serious or repeated violations, the employer’s account may be suspended. During suspension, all listings will be taken offline and no new activity will be permitted.
- 🚫
Permanent account termination. For severe violations — including fraud, data misuse, harassment, or persistent non-compliance — the account will be permanently terminated with no right to reinstatement. Any active subscription will be cancelled without refund.
- ⚖️
Legal referral. Where a violation constitutes or appears to constitute a criminal offence or a violation of applicable data protection or labour law, CorrectNG reserves the right to report the matter to the relevant Nigerian regulatory or law enforcement authorities.
Right of appeal. If you believe a moderation action has been taken against your account in error, you may contact CorrectNG at
[email protected] within 14 days of the action being taken to request a review. CorrectNG will endeavour to respond within 7 business days. All decisions made on review are final.
CorrectNG relies on the active participation of the employer community and job seekers to maintain platform integrity. If you encounter a job listing or employer behaviour that you believe violates these Policies, we encourage you to report it.
How to report. Send a detailed report to
[email protected] including the job listing URL or employer details, a description of the suspected violation, and any supporting evidence you have. All reports are treated confidentially.
Good faith reporting. Reports must be made in good faith. Submitting false or malicious reports about other employers is itself a violation of these Policies.
For job seekers: If you believe you have been asked to pay money as part of an application process on CorrectNG, or if you have received a communication that appears fraudulent, please report it to us immediately at
[email protected]. We take all such reports seriously.
CorrectNG reserves the right to update or amend these Policies at any time. Where changes are material, CorrectNG will make reasonable efforts to notify registered employers via email or a notice on the employer dashboard prior to the changes taking effect.
Your responsibility to stay informed. It is your responsibility to review these Policies periodically. Continued use of the CorrectNG employer features after any amendments have been published constitutes acceptance of the updated Policies.
Effective date. The effective date of these Policies is shown at the top of this page. The most current version of these Policies always supersedes all previous versions.
